Learning Photoshop

Recently got access to some of my old pieces from my design class. There was one assignment where students had to take photos in a designated area around the school and then bring them to class to photoshop them. There had to be a noticeable change from one photo to the next.

Here they are:

October 2011

Original image: RED apples
Edited image: GREEN apples

Lasso: circled around imperfections and used content-aware to remove bruises and scars from some apples.
Hue/Saturation: used hue feature to transform red apples in green ones. If a photographer didn’t have another set of apple pictures, you could change the colour to have a variety of coloured apples.

October 2011

Original image: Left
Edited image: Right

Lasso: circled around rod from parking sign to arrow sign, then used content-aware to remove it in order to create parallel lines.
Brightness/Contrast: increased brightness level to make colours crisper (bluer, greener, whiter, and blacker).

Original image: Left
Edited image: Right

Crop: removed unwanted objects in shot so they would not distract away from the subject matter.
Brightness/Contrast: increased brightness to sharpen lines and colours.
Hue/Saturation: used hue feature to make signs bluer, whiter and blacker.
